On February 21, 2024, a woman named Golanu Bibi, who was suffering from mental illness and undergoing treatment at the Government Mental Hospital of Calicut under the Prthyasha project of the Kerala Government, was admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women. After receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya, her condition improved. Her address was found, and her family was traced within a few days. On May 23, 2024, she was reunified with her family in West Bengal. Her daughter received her and was happy to see her after eight years of separation. Due to some family problems, she had developed mental illness and left home. The family was overjoyed in this reunion and expressed their gratitude towards Snehalaya for their selfless efforts.
