On March 29, 2024, a destitute man named Pawan was rescued from the streets of Tokkattu and subsequently admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men for further care and treatment by Brother Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya. He was accompanied by the Snehalaya team. After receiving essential care and treatment at Snehalaya, Pawan’s condition improved, and through the hard work of the Snehalaya and Shraddha teams, it was possible to trace his address.
On June 9, 2024, Pawan was successfully reunited with his family in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. He had been missing for three years. According to his family, he had been suffering from mental illness for the past four years. The family expressed their gratitude towards both the Snehalaya and Shraddha teams for their selfless service to mankind.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 29.03.2024 ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ತೊಕ್ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಳಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಿಂದ ಪವನ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ದಾಖಲಾತಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗು ಕೊಳಕಾದ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದ.ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆ ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಆತನ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರೀಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಆತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 09/06/2024ರಂದು ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನದ ಭರತ್ ಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹೇಳುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತ ಕಳೆದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
ಈ ಪುಣ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
