On April 24, 2024, a 38-year-old man named Sitaram was found wandering the streets of Kumbla. He was rescued by the Kumbla police and admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men.
During his treatment at Snehalaya, Sitaram’s condition improved significantly. To further aid in his rehabilitation, he was transferred to the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai.
On August 24, 2024, after being separated from his family for four years, Sitaram was successfully reunited with them in the Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh. The reunion was an emotional moment for the family and a challenging task for the Shraddha team, as Sitaram communicated in a tribal language. However, with the assistance of the police and Rotary members, the team was able to locate his address.
The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to both the Snehalaya and Shraddha Rehabilitation Centres for their selfless service and support in reuniting them with their loved one.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 24/04/2024 ರಂದು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕುಂಬಳೆ ಸಮೀಪದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಸೀತಾರಾಮ್ ಎಂಬ 38 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕುಂಬಳೆ ಪೋಲಿಸರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ,ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಅರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು, ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರೀಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಅತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ರೀಹ್ಯಾಬಿಲೆ‍‌ಶನ್ ಫೌಂಡೆಶನ್ ಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 24.08.2024ರಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಬರ್ವಾನಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು. ಆತನ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವುದು ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ
ಕಷ್ಟಕರ ಕೆಲಸವಾಗಿತ್ತು ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಭಾಷೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆದರೆ ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ತಂಡವು ಸ್ಠಳಿಯ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ರೋಟರಿ ಮೆಂಬರ್ ಅವರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ವಿಳಾಸ ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿದರು.ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಆತನ ನಿಜ ಹೆಸರು ರಾಮಜಿಲಾಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳ ನಿಧನದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದನು.ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
