Mrs. Olivia Crasta, Trustee cum Secretary of Snehalaya, along with the Snehalaya team, successfully rescued a distressed woman named Parvati on September 24, 2023. Parvati, approximately 37 years old, was found at the Mallikatte Bus Stand in Mangalore and was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Women. During her treatment at Snehalaya, her condition improved significantly. Thanks to the combined efforts of the Snehalaya and Shraddha teams, her address was eventually discovered.
On August 24, 2024, Parvati was successfully reunited with her family at Snehalaya after being separated from them for 1.5 years. Her mother and uncle traveled from Koppal to take her back. The reunion was an emotional moment for the family. Parvati had been working in Surathkal for the past 15 years, but due to her mental illness, she had been wandering. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to both the Snehalaya and Shraddha Rehabilitation Centres for their selfless service and support in reuniting them with their loved one.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 24/09/2023 ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗು ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಬಸ್ಸು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 37ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಪಾರ್ವತಿ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯ ಅರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 24.08.2024ರಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂದಿಕರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದರು, ಒಂದೂವರೆ ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಖುಷಿಪಟ್ಟರು, ಪಾರ್ವತಿ ಕಳೆದ ಹದಿನೈದು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು ಆದರೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಕಾರಣ ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಊರೂರು ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು.ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
