On June 14, 2024, Mr. Sharief, a social worker, businessman, and well-wisher of Snehalaya, rescued a mentally ill person named Hanumanth who was wandering the streets near Guruvayankere, Belthangadi. Hanumanth was admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for Men. He was observed wandering the streets with poor self-care, shabby attire, and signs of mental health-related problems. During his treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved significantly. Due to the dedicated efforts of the staff at Snehalaya and the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai, his address was found, and his family was contacted.
On August 19, 2024, Hanumanth was successfully reunited with his family in the Davanagere district of Karnataka after being separated from them for six months. The reunion was an emotional moment for the family. They were made aware of his mental illness, and a month’s supply of medication was provided. The family expressed their gratitude to Snehalaya and the Shraddha Centre for their selfless service.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 14.06.2024 ರಂದು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕ, ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಅಂತೆಯೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಹಿತೈಷಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಷರೀಫ್ ಅವರು,ಬೆಳ್ತಂಗಡಿಯ, ಗುರುವಾಯನಕೆರೆ, ಸಮೀಪದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಹನುಮಂತ ಎಂಬ ಓರ್ವ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನನ್ನು,ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ತಂಬಾಕು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಮಧ್ಯಪಾನ ಸೇವನೆಯ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಈತನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಅರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು, ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ರಿಹ್ಯಾಬಿಲೆಶನ್ ಫೌಂಡೆಶನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಅವಿರತ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಆತನ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 19.08.2024ರಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು.ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತ ಮೊದಲೂ ಹಲವು ಬಾರಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ, ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯಾದ ಬಸವರಾಜ್ ಇವರು ಕುಟುಂದವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಾಯಿಲೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
