On June 4, 2024, Vinod, an individual found wandering near Govinda Pai College in Manjeshwar, was successfully rescued and admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for Men. This compassionate effort was led by the Snehalaya team under the guidance of Bro Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, following information provided by a member of the public. Vinod was observed wandering the streets with poor self-care and shabby attire, displaying signs of mental health-related problems. During his treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved significantly. As part of his further rehabilitation, he was sent to the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai.
On August 11, 2024, Vinod was successfully reunited with his family in the Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh after being separated from them for ten years. The reunion was an emotional moment for the family. Vinod had been running a business in his hometown, but due to some family problems, he developed a mental illness. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to both Snehalaya and Shraddha Rehabilitation Centres for their selfless service and support in reuniting them with their loved one.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 04/06/24 ರಂದು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಗೋವಿಂದ ಪೈ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬಳಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು 35ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ವಿನೋದ್ ಎಂಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು, ಸ್ಥಳಿಯರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಂತೆ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನ ಅರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು, ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರೀಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಅತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶೃದ್ಧಾ ರೀಹ್ಯಾಬಿಲೆ‍‌ಶನ್ ಫೌಂಡೆಶನ್ ಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 11.08.2024ರಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಲಲಿತಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು.ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತ ತನ್ನ ಊರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವ ಉದ್ಯೂಗವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆದರೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಾದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿದ್ದನು.ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೃದ್ದಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
