On March 8, 2024, a 30-year-old man named Ramchand, found wandering near Montepadu in Mangalore, was rescued and taken under the care of Snehalaya Mental Illness Rehabilitation Center. The heroic efforts were spearheaded by Brother Joseph Crasta, the esteemed founder of Snehalaya, and Jovial Crasta, trustee of the institution.
After receiving essential care and treatment at Snehalaya, his condition improved, and for his further reunion process, he was transferred to Shraddha Mumbai.
On June 4, 2024, Ramchand was successfully reunited with his family in the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. His family was very happy to see him after four months. According to his family, he had been suffering from mental illness for the past seven years and went missing when he traveled to Bangalore with his father for work. The family thanked Snehalaya and Shraddha centers for their selfless efforts.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 08.03.2024ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮೋಂಟೆಪದವು ಬಳಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ ಎಂಬ ಸುಮಾರು 30ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಜೋವಿಯಲ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರೆತ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆದ ನಂತರ ಅತನ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಸುಧಾರಿಸಿತು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ತಂಡಗಳ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದಾಗಿ, ಅವರ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲಾಯಿತು.
ಜೂನ್ 4, 2024 ರಂದು ಅವರು ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಸತ್ನಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಒಂದಾದರು. ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳ ನಂತರ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಮನೆಯವರು ತುಂಬಾ ಖುಷಿಪಟ್ಟರು ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು.ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ ಕಳೆದ ಏಳು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ, ತಂದೆಯ ಜೊತೆ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಈ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
