On February 21, 2024, a woman named Lexa Ben, who was suffering from mental illness and undergoing treatment at the Government Mental Hospital of Calicut under the Prathyasha project of the Kerala Government, was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women. After receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya, her condition improved. Her address was found, and her family was traced within a few days.
On June 21, 2024, she was reunited with her family in Vadodara, Gujarat. Her son received her and was happy and emotional to see her after twenty years of separation. Lexa has one son and one daughter. Due to her mental illness, she had left home. The family was overjoyed by this reunion and expressed their gratitude towards Snehalaya for their selfless efforts.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 21.02.2024ರಂದು ಕೇರಳದ ಕ್ಯಾಲಿಕಟ್ ನ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಲೆಕ್ಸಾ ಬೆನ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೇರಳ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಾಷ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ವಿಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ಆಪ್ತಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 21.06.2024ರಂದು ಗುಜರಾತ್‌ನ ವಡೋದರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಮಗ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆಕೆಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗ ಮತ್ತು ಒಬ್ಬಳು ಮಗಳಿದ್ದಾಳೆ, ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಲೆಕ್ಸಾ ಬೆನ್ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
