On July 10, 2024, Salim, a 40-year-old mentally ill person who had been wandering near Padavinagadi Bondel, was successfully rescued and admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for Men. This compassionate effort was led by Bro. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, and the trustee of Snehalaya, Mr. Prakash Pinto, as per the information given by a public person, Mr. Roshan Pinto. At the time of admission, Salim was found with poor hygiene and shabby clothes. He communicates in Hindi and is now receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya. ದಿನಾಂಕ 10/07/24 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪದವಿನಂಗಡಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು 40ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಲೀಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನನ್ನು, ಸ್ಥಳಿಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರೋಶನ್ ಪಿಂಟೋ ಇವರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಸಹೋದರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಿಂಟೋರವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ,ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
