On June 1, 2024, Sairam, an individual found wandering the streets of Padil, Mangalore, was successfully rescued and admitted to the Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for Men. This compassionate effort was led by the Snehalaya team under the guidance of Bro Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, following information provided by Mr. Jeethan Antony D’Souza, a social worker.
After receiving care and treatment at Snehalaya, Sairam’s condition improved, and he was transferred to Shraddha Mumbai for further reunification efforts. On July 10, 2024, he was reunited with his family in the Nanded district of Maharashtra. His family, overjoyed to see him after one year of separation, received him warmly. According to the family, he had been suffering from mental illness for the past five years. The family was very happy about the reunion and expressed their gratitude towards Snehalaya and Shraddha centres for their selfless efforts.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 01/06/24 ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಡೀಲ್ ಬಳಿಯ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು 30ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಾಯಿರಾಮ್ ಎಂಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು, ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೀತನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಅವರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಂತೆ, ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 10.07.2024ರಂದು ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ನಾಂದೇಡ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಆತನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆತನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆತ ಕಳೆದ ಐದು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಹೇಳದೆ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ. ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
