On April 6th, 2024, a woman named Kalpana, who was wandering on the platform of Mangalore Central Railway Station, was rescued by Mr. Jovial Crasta, a trustee of Snehalaya, along with the Snehalaya team. She was subsequently admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Women for better care and treatment.

Her condition improved with the help of medications. For further reunification efforts, she was transferred to the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai. On July 19, 2024, she was reunited with her family in the Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Her family and villagers were overjoyed to see her after six months. According to the family, she had been suffering from mental illness for many years.

The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Snehalaya Charitable Trust and the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation for their selfless service.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 06.04.2024ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತಿದ್ದ ಕಲ್ಪನಾ ಎಂಬ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋವಿಯಲ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡದವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ವಿಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 19.07.2024ರಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಜಂಗಢ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆಕೆ ಕಳೆದ ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಸಮೀಪದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು ಆದರೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಔಷಧಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಕಾರಣ ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹದೆಗೆಟ್ಟಿತು. ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
