On August 1, 2024, Mrs. Olivia Crasta, the Trustee cum Secretary of Snehalaya, along with Mr. Basavaraj, a staff member of Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai, and the Snehalaya team, rescued an elderly person, approximately 75 years old, from Mangalore Central Railway Station. He was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for Men.
