ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 26, 2026: ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮಣಿಪುರದ ಇಂಫಾಲ್ ಈಸ್ಟ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಮುಂಬೈ ತಂಡಗಳ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

2026ರ ಜೂನ್ 24ರಂದು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ  ಕುಂಬ್ಳೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ನಾಂಗಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್. ಜೊಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಕುಂಬ್ಳೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಅಸಿಸ್ಟೆಂಟ್ ಸಬ್-ಇನ್‌ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಧೀಶ್ ಅವರು ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ಅಗತ್ಯ ದಾಖಲಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ದಾಖಲಾತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ದಾಖಲಾದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಟದ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಆತಂಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದವು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ನಂತರ 2026ರ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 1ರಂದು ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ತಂಡದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಡಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವೂ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಿತು.

ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರು ನಾಗಾಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್‌ನ ದಿಮಾಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ರೈಲಿನಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ದೂರವಾಗಿ, ನಂತರ ಸ್ವತಃ ತಮ್ಮ ಊರಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರು ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 17ರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಮನೆ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.

ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 18, 2026ರಂದು ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿ ಮಸಿದಾ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡರು. ಇಂಫಾಲ್ ಈಸ್ಟ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕೈರಾಂಗ್ ತೇರಾ ಮಖೋಂಗ್,ಮಣಿಪುರ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿಯೇ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ನಿರಂತರ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಔಷಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಸಮೀಪದ RIMS, ಇಂಫಾಲ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಬಿದ್ ಖಾನ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಒದಗಿಸಿ, ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ತಂಡಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದೆ.

Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation Help Bring Abid Khan Back Home

Manjeshwar, September 26, 2026: Mr. Abid Khan, a native of Imphal East district, Manipur, who had been found wandering far from home in a vulnerable condition, was successfully reunited with his mother through the continued efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Manjeshwar, and Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai.

On June 24, 2026, Mr. Abid Khan was found wandering in a helpless condition in the Nangi area under Kumbla Police Station limits, Kasaragod district. The police rescued him and informed Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, following which he was brought to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre and safely admitted for care and rehabilitation.

Mr. Sudheesh, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Kumbla Police Station, brought Abid Khan to Snehalaya and completed the necessary admission procedures. At the time of admission, he was observed to have wandering behaviour, anxiety, and other mental health-related difficulties. He was provided with necessary medical treatment, counselling, personal care, and psychosocial rehabilitation services in a safe and supportive environment.

Later, on September 1, 2026, Abid Khan was admitted under the care and rehabilitation arrangements of Shraddha Foundation. Along with his continued care and rehabilitation, efforts to trace his family were also carried out.

According to information received from his family, Abid Khan had reportedly travelled to Dimapur, Nagaland, where he got down from a train and later managed to find his way back towards his hometown. Family members informed that he reached home on the night of September 17, 2026, making it possible to establish contact with his relatives.

Finally, on September 18, 2026, Abid Khan was successfully reunited with his mother, Masida. Abid Khan is a resident of Kairang Tera Makhong, Kairang Muslim, Imphal East, Manipur, and his mother will continue to care for him at home.

As part of his continued health monitoring, the required medicines will be sent from the Snehalaya Centre. The family has also been advised to continue his treatment at RIMS, Imphal, for further medical care.

The coordinated efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust and Shraddha Foundation played an important role in ensuring Abid Khan’s safe rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, family tracing, and eventual reunion with his mother.

The journey from rescuing a vulnerable individual to providing care and rehabilitation, tracing his family, and finally helping him return to his loved ones marks a meaningful new chapter in Abid Khan’s life.
