ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 29, 2026: ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನ ಕೋಯಮತ್ತೂರು ಮೂಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್. ಸುಂಧರ್ ಅವರು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಶ್ರೀ ಆರ್. ಸುಂಧರ್ ಅವರು ಯಾವುದೇ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಆರೈಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಬೆಂಬಲವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ಗುರಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ವರ್ತನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ತಾವೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತಹ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದವು. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡು ಕೋಸ್ಟಲ್ ಫ್ರೆಂಡ್ಸ್ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸೌಕತ್ ಅಲಿ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರೆತ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಪ್ರವೃತ್ತವಾದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡ, ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್ ಬೆನ್ನಿ (ಕೇರ್‌ಟೇಕರ್) ಅವರ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಂಧರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು 25 ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2026ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಅವಲೋಕನದ ವೇಳೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಂಧರ್ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ನಿರಂತರ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ವರ್ತನೆ, ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ತಾವೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ವಭಾವ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಗೊಂದಲದ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿವೆ. ಅವರ ದೈಹಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ನಿರಂತರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ, ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಔಷಧೋಪಚಾರ, ಆಪ್ತಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲೀನ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಬೆಂಬಲದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ.

Helpless Man from Tamil Nadu Finds Hope and Shelter at Snehalaya

Manjeshwar, August 29, 2026: A man from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, who was found wandering helplessly in and around Manjeshwar without proper care or family support, has found a safe shelter and a new ray of hope at Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre.

Mr. R. Sundhar, a native of Coimbatore, was rescued on August 25, 2026, after he was found in a vulnerable condition. At the time of his rescue, he was reportedly in poor personal condition and displayed confusion, wandering behaviour, aggressive behaviour and self-muttering.

Concerned about his safety and well-being, Mr. Soukath Ali, a member of Coastal Friends Mangalore, informed Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta about Sundhar’s condition.

Responding immediately to the information, the Snehalaya rescue team reached the location. With the assistance of Mr. Kiran Benny, caretaker, the team brought Sundhar to Snehalaya with care and compassion, ensuring that he received immediate shelter and medical attention.

Following his admission, the initial assessment indicated that Sundhar required regular medical supervision, psychiatric treatment, medication, counselling, personal care and long-term rehabilitation support.

Under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, the medical and rehabilitation team has begun providing the necessary treatment and continuous care. The aim is not only to improve his physical and mental well-being but also to help him regain stability, dignity and confidence.

For a person who had been left wandering without anyone to care for him, Snehalaya has become a place of safety and hope.

Snehalaya Charitable Trust has been working to rescue homeless, vulnerable and mentally distressed persons found living helplessly on the streets. The organisation provides shelter, food, medical treatment, counselling, personal care and rehabilitation. Whenever possible, the organisation also makes dedicated efforts to trace their families and reunite them with their loved ones.

Snehalaya appeals to the public, particularly people from Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu, to come forward with any information that may help trace the family members, relatives or friends of Mr. R. Sundhar.
