ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ (ನರೇಮ್ ದಾಸ್) ನರೇನ್ ದಾಸ್ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಜುಲೈ 4, 2026ರಂದು ಕಣ್ಣೂರಿನ ಖಿದ್ಮತ್ ಥಣಲ್ ಸ್ನೇಹವೀಡು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಖಿದ್ಮತ್ ಥಣಲ್ ಸ್ನೇಹವೀಡು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತ ಶ್ರೀ ದ್ರುಪದ್ ಎಂ.ಎಸ್. ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೂಲ ಊರಿನ ಕುರಿತು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ದೀರ್ಘ ಹುಡುಕಾಟದ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರ ನಿಜವಾದ ಹೆಸರು ನಾರಾಯಣ ದಾಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರು ಉತ್ತರಾಖಂಡದ ಉಧಮ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಖಟಿಮಾ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಪಹೇನಿಯಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದವರು ಎಂಬುದು ದೃಢಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರು ಸುಮಾರು 30 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮನೆಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ನಂತರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಜುಲೈ 31, 2026ರಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮೂರು ದಶಕಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ನಡೆದ ಈ ಭೇಟಿಯು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಾವುಕ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಯಿತು. ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪಂಜಾಬ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Narayan Das Reunited with Family After 30 Years An Emotional Reunion Made Possible by Snehalaya and Shraddha Teams

Manjeshwar, August 17, 2026: Mr. Narayan Das, a native of Uttarakhand who had been separated from his family for nearly 30 years, has been successfully reunited with his sister through the dedicated efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust and the Shraddha Rehabilitation Team.

Initially identified as “Narem Das / Naren Das,” he was brought to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on July 4, 2026, from Khidmat Thanal Snehaveedu, Kannur, by social worker Mr. Drupad M.S. At the time of his admission, no clear information was available regarding his family or native place.

At Snehalaya, he was provided with necessary medical care, nutritious food, personal care, and comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation. Through continuous interaction with him, the team gradually gathered important details about his background. Based on this information, efforts were initiated to trace his family with the support of the Shraddha Rehabilitation Team.

After an extensive search, it was confirmed that his real name is Narayan Das and that he belongs to Paheniya village in Khatima Tehsil, Udham Singh Nagar district, Uttarakhand. According to his family, he had left home around 30 years ago and later experienced mental health difficulties.

On July 31, 2026, Narayan Das was successfully reunited with his sister. Meeting a family member after three long decades was an intensely emotional moment for everyone involved. His mother and brother are currently residing in Punjab and have expressed their willingness to take responsibility for his continued care.

The family was advised to ensure that Narayan Das continues to receive regular mental health treatment and that all medications prescribed by his doctors are administered consistently.

His family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Snehalaya Charitable Trust and the
Foundation Team for their tireless efforts in tracing his family and reuniting him with his loved ones.

After 30 years of separation and uncertainty, Narayan Das’s return to his family stands as a moving testimony to the power of humanitarian service, family love, and persistent effort—showing that even a life separated by time and distance can find its way back home and towards hope.
