ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 16, 2026: ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಹಾಗೂ ದಿಕ್ಕುತೋಚದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬಿಹಾರ ಮೂಲದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜು ಅವರನ್ನು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 15, 2026ರಂದು, ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಪರಿಸರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರಾಜು ಅವರ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಸಬ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಸನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಕಾಳಜಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಆರೈಕೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜು ಅವರು ಕಳಪೆ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತ ಉಡುಪು ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದು. ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಅವಲೋಕನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ಮಾತು, ದಿಕ್ಕುತಪ್ಪಿದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವಗತವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮದ್ಯಪಾನ ಅವಲಂಬನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಂಬಾಕು ಅವಲಂಬನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳೂ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿವೆ. ಅವರ ಎಡಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಯದ ಗುರುತು ಇರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಗಮನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Bihar Native Raju, Found Wandering at Kasaragod Railway Station, Admitted to Snehalaya for Rehabilitation Care
Manjeshwar, August 16, 2026: A 45-year-old man identified as Mr. Raju, a native of Bihar, who was found wandering in a helpless and disoriented condition at Kasaragod Railway Station, has been admitted to Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for treatment, safe shelter, and comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation.
On August 15, 2026, Sub-Inspector Mr. Sanil Kumar of the Railway Police Station, Kasaragod, noticed Raju wandering around the railway station in a vulnerable condition. Responding with concern and compassion, Mr. Sanil Kumar informed Bro. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya, about his condition and subsequently brought Raju safely to Snehalaya, where he was admitted for rehabilitation care.
At the time of admission, Raju was found to have poor personal hygiene and was wearing shabby clothes. During the initial observation, he displayed wandering behaviour, aggressive speech, disorientation, and self-muttering. He also showed concerns related to alcohol dependence and tobacco use. An injury mark on his left hand was also observed.
During the preliminary interaction, he identified himself as Raju, stated that his father’s name is Ramlal Sooryaya, and said that he is a native of Bihar. He primarily communicates in Hindi and Bhojpuri. Details regarding his mother, other family members, and exact residential address are yet to be traced and verified.
Raju is currently being provided with safe shelter, nutritious food, personal hygiene support, necessary medical care, psychiatric assessment, counselling, and comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation services at Snehalaya.
In the coming days, the Snehalaya team will continue to monitor his physical and mental health while making efforts to trace his family and establish his exact native address. Once his condition improves sufficiently and his family details are verified, the team will take the necessary steps towards reuniting him with his family.
