ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 9, 2026: ಸುಮಾರು 20 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕುಟುಂಬದಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಶೋಕನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಇಂದೋರ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ರಮೇಶ್ ಕುಶ್ವಾಹ ಅವರು ಕೊನೆಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತತೆ ಬಳಿಕ ನಡೆದ ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತಸ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಿದ್ದ ರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರು 2026ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 23ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪಿವಿಎಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಬಳಿ ಗುರಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಂಬದ್ಧ ಚಿಂತನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾತು, ಅಲೆದಾಟದ ವರ್ತನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತು ಬಳಕೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಗಂಭೀರತೆಯನ್ನು ಅರಿತ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ  ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರು ತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಆರೈಕೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಭಾವ್ಯ ದ್ವಿಧ್ರುವಿ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೈಪೋಥೈರಾಯ್ಡಿಸಂ ಇರುವುದಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಇತ್ತು.

ಮುಂದಿನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಪತ್ತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರಮೇಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು 2026ರ ಮೇ 2ರಂದು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಮುಂಬೈಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯ ಪೂರ್ಣ ವಿಳಾಸವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಊರಿನ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಕೆಲ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಸುಳಿವುಗಳ ಆಧಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ತಂಡಗಳು ನಿರಂತರ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿ ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಅಶೋಕನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದವು.

ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡು ದಶಕಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ರಮೇಶ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಊರಿಗೆ ಮರಳಿ ಸಹೋದರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗನನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾದ ಕ್ಷಣ ಭಾವುಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಔಷಧೋಪಚಾರವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Ramesh Kushwah Reunited with Brother and Son After 20 Years of Separation

Manjeshwar, August 9, 2026: In a heartwarming reunion after nearly 20 years of separation from his family, Ramesh Kushwah, a native of Indore village in Ashoknagar district, Madhya Pradesh, has finally been reunited with his brother and son. The long-awaited reunion brought immense joy and relief to his family members and villagers.

Ramesh, who had a history of mental health concerns, was found on February 23, 2026, wandering aimlessly near PVS Circle, Mangalore, in a vulnerable and distressed condition. He reportedly showed symptoms of disorganized thoughts and speech, wandering behaviour, along with a history of substance use. Recognizing the seriousness of his condition, Bro. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, personally led the Snehalaya team to the location and safely rescued Ramesh. He was subsequently admitted to Snehalaya for care and rehabilitation.

At Snehalaya, Ramesh received medical treatment, psychological support, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Following medical evaluation, he was diagnosed with Probable Bipolar Illness and Hypothyroidism. According to information provided by his family, he had been experiencing mental health concerns for nearly 25 years.

As part of further efforts to trace his family, Ramesh was admitted to Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation, Mumbai, on May 2, 2026. Although he was unable to recall his complete home address, he could remember the names of a few places around his native village. Using these clues, the Snehalaya and Shraddha Foundation teams carried out persistent family-tracing efforts and eventually succeeded in locating his family in Ashoknagar district, Madhya Pradesh.

After nearly two decades, the moment Ramesh returned to his native village and met his brother and son was deeply emotional. His family welcomed him warmly, bringing an end to years of uncertainty and separation. They were also provided with necessary guidance to ensure the continuation of his treatment, medication, and follow-up care.

Ramesh Kushwah’s successful reunion once again highlights the importance of mental healthcare, psychosocial rehabilitation, family tracing, and community reintegration. Under the leadership of Bro. Joseph Crasta, the Snehalaya team continues its humanitarian mission of rescuing homeless and vulnerable persons living with mental health concerns, restoring their dignity, and helping them return to the care and companionship of their families.
