On April 12, 2024, the Snehalaya team, under the leadership of Mrs. Josliya Crasta, the trustee of Snehalaya, rescued a mentally ill lady named Shriya who was cooking on the footpath near the DC office in Mangalore. She was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women for treatment.
Her condition improved due to the medications. For her further reunion process, she was transferred to the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in Mumbai. On July 13, 2024, she was reunited with her family in the Bargarh district of Odisha. Her family and villagers were very happy to see her after five months. According to the family, she had been suffering from mental illness for the past 30 years.The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Snehalaya Charitable Trust and the Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation for their selfless service.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 12.04.2024ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೋಸ್ಲಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾರವರ ನೇತ್ರತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು, ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬಳಿಯ ಫುಟ್ ಪಾತ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಡುಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಯಾ ಎಂಬ 50 ವರ್ಷ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಯಾ ಎಂಬ 50 ವರ್ಷದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಾಗಿ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ವಿಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಗಾಯಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 13.07.2024ರಂದು ಒಡಿಶಾದ ಬರ್ಗರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಕೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಾಯಿತು. ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿದ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಆಕೆ ಕಳೆದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಸಮೀಪದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು ಆದರೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಔಷಧಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಕಾರಣ ಆಕೆಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹದೆಗೆಟ್ಟಿತು. ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬಿಕರು ತುಂಬು ಹೃದಯದ ಕೃತಜ್ನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
