ಕಳೆದ ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿಕಂದರ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು 2026ರ ಜನವರಿ 16ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ತೊಕ್ಕೊಟ್ಟು ನೇತ್ರಾ ಸೇತುವೆ ಸಮೀಪ ಗೊಂದಲದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ನಂತರ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ತೊಕ್ಕೊಟ್ಟಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಂತಾರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಪಡೆದ ನಂತರ, ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಬಿಹಾರದ ಕಟಿಹಾರ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಆಜಂನಗರದ ಚಕ್ಧಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲಾಯಿತು. 2026ರ ಜೂನ್ 4ರಂದು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ತಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರುಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಅವರ ತಂದೆ ನಿಧನರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ದುರ್ಬಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯವು ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಔಷಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿ, ನಿಯಮಿತ ಔಷಧ ಸೇವನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಟಿಬಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ನೀಡಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಪಾತ್ರರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿ ತಂದ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬೈ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿತು.

Family Reunion Restores Hope: Snehalaya Reunites Sikander Kumar with Mother and Brother After Four Years

Manjeshwar, June 9, 2026: Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, under the guidance of Founder Br. Joseph Crasta and with the support of Shraddha Foundation Mumbai, successfully reunited Mr. Sikander Kumar, a native of Katihar District, Bihar, with his mother and brother after four years of separation.

Mr. Sikander Kumar, who had been suffering from mental illness for the past ten years, was rescued by the Snehalaya team on January 16, 2026, after he was found in a disoriented condition near Thokottu Nera Bridge, Mangaluru. The information was first reported by Mr. Santharaj from Thokottu.

After receiving treatment, care, and rehabilitation at Snehalaya, his family was traced in Chakdha village, Azamnagar, Katihar District, Bihar. On June 4, 2026, he was safely reunited with his mother and brother at his native home.

His father is no more, and the family’s economic condition is poor. Snehalaya provided two months’ medicine and gave awareness on regular medication and TB treatment care. The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Br. Joseph Crasta, Snehalaya, and Shraddha Foundation Mumbai for bringing their loved one safely back home.
