ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಕಥೆಯಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ, ಸಮಯೋಚಿತ ನೆರವು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ.

ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನದ ಜುಂಜುನೂ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಹನ್ಸಲ್ಸಾರ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮಹಾ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಉದ್ಯೋಗದ ಆಶಯದಲ್ಲಿ 2026ರ ಮೇ 13ರಂದು ಕೇರಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಹೊಸ ಬದುಕಿನ ಕನಸು ಹೊತ್ತು ಬಂದ ಈ ಯುವಕನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದುರ್ಘಟನೆಗಳ ಸರಮಾಲೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.
ಮದ್ಯಪಾನದ ಚಟದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಗಣೇಶ್ ರೈಲು ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ವೇಳೆ ಸಹಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜಗಳಕ್ಕಿಳಿದಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಆದರೆ ಗಾಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ. ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿ, ಅಸಂಬದ್ಧ ಮಾತುಗಳು, ಕಿರಿಕಿರಿ ಸ್ವಭಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಭ್ರಮಾತ್ಮಕ ವರ್ತನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ವಿಶೇಷ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿತ್ತು.
2026ರ ಮೇ 16ರಂದು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಸಬ್-ಇನ್ಸ್‌ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜನ್ ಎಂ.ವಿ. ಅವರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಭದ್ರತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಲಂಗಾರ, ಕಾಸರಗೋಡಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ಬದುಕಿನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ.

ಆದರೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸೇವೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ. “ಈ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ? ಇವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು…” ಎಂಬ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಕಾಳಜಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಂಡ ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ದೊರಕಿತು.
ಈ ಸುದ್ದಿ ತಿಳಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಅವರ ಅಣ್ಣ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹೋದರಿಯ ಪುತ್ರ ಶ್ರೀ ಪುಷ್ಕರ್ ಸೈರ್ ಅವರು ದೂರದ ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದರು.
2026ರ ಮೇ 19ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಆ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಮಿಲನದ ಕ್ಷಣ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಕಣ್ಣನ್ನೂ ತೇವಗೊಳಿಸಿತು. ಅನೇಕ ದಿನಗಳ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತತೆ, ನೋವು ಮತ್ತು ಆತಂಕದ ಬಳಿಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಭಾವುಕರಾದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಕಣ್ಣಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಹರಿಯಿತು. ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡ ಆ ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ ನಿಜವಾದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿತು.

Family Reunion Brings Relief: Snehalaya Reunites Rajasthan Native with Family After Mental Health Crisis in Kerala

Manjeshwar, May 19, 2026: In an emotional and heart-touching moment, the Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Kasaragod, reunited Mr. Ganesh, a native of Rajasthan, with his family after he underwent psychiatric care and rehabilitation at the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre following a distressing incident in Kerala.

Mr. Ganesh, son of Maha Singh of Hansalsar, Jhunjhunun District, Rajasthan, had arrived in Kerala on May 13, 2026, seeking employment opportunities. According to reports, he had a history of alcohol use , and during his train journey, he became involved in an altercation with co-passengers. During the incident, he sustained an ear injury after a fall.

Police personnel intervened and initially shifted him to a local hospital for medical treatment. Considering his disturbed mental condition and psychiatric symptoms, he was later referred to Snehalaya for psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation support.

On May 16, 2026, Mr. Ganesh was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre after being brought under police escort by Mr. Rajan MV, Sub-Inspector of Kasaragod Police Station, from Kalangara, Kasaragod.

During the preliminary assessment, he was found to be suffering from poor personal hygiene along with psychiatric complaints including hallucinatory behaviour, irritability, and irrelevant talk, indicating the need for urgent psychiatric care, supervision, and psychosocial rehabilitation.

Under the guidance of Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta, the Snehalaya team immediately initiated treatment, counselling, emotional support, and rehabilitation measures to stabilize his condition and ensure his safety and recovery.

Through continuous care and compassionate intervention, Snehalaya also worked towards tracing and contacting his family in Rajasthan. Their efforts finally bore fruit when his elder brother Mr. Rajesh and his sister’s son Mr. Pushkar Sair travelled to Snehalaya for reunion.

On May 19, 2026, the long-awaited reunion took place at Snehalaya.

As the family members saw Mr. Ganesh after days of uncertainty and emotional distress, the atmosphere turned deeply emotional. Tears of relief, gratitude, and joy filled the room as the family embraced him after his difficult journey away from home.

The reunion stood as a powerful reminder of the importance of timely intervention, compassionate care, and family support in restoring lives affected by mental health crises and social vulnerability.
