ಶ್ರೀ ದೇವರಾಂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮೇ 12, 2026 ರಂದು ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನದ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ಸ್ವಭಾವ ಹಾಗೂ ಮನೋನೈರಾಶ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.

Snehalaya Admits Mentally Distressed Man Found Wandering at Mukka Street, Surathkal

Manjeshwar, May 16, 2026: A man identified as Mr. Devaram (K. Devarajan), a native of Kollam, Kerala, was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre after being found in a mentally distressed condition at Mukka Street, Surathkal, Mangalore.

According to sources, the matter came to light when Mr. Kiran Kumar of Katipalla informed Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta about the man’s condition. Acting promptly on the information received, the Snehalaya team reached the location and safely shifted him to the rehabilitation centre for immediate care, protection, and support.

Mr. Devaram was admitted on May 12, 2026. During the preliminary assessment, he was found to be suffering from poor personal hygiene, wandering behaviour, and depression, indicating the need for psychiatric attention, supervision, and psychosocial rehabilitation care.

The Snehalaya team has initiated essential treatment, counselling, and rehabilitation measures to support his recovery and well-being. Continuous monitoring and compassionate care are being provided at the centre as part of the ongoing intervention.
