2026ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 19ರಂದು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಸಮೀಪ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಹಾಶಿಂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಆಟೋ ಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಶ್ರಫ್ ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸಮಯಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡ, ಹಾಶಿಂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತು.
ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆಯ ವೇಳೆ ಹಾಶಿಂ ಅವರು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ, ಅಲೆದಾಟದ ವರ್ತನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ನಗುವ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಂತೆ, ಅವರು ಕಳೆದ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಪೂರ್ಣಿಯಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಸುಮಾರು 12 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್‌ನ ಸಹಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮನ್ವಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಮೇ 6, 2026 ರಂದು ಹಾಶಿಂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕಂಡ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೋವು, ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ಒಂದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು. ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಶಿಂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಔಷಧಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿ ಸ್ವಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Family Reunion Brings Hope: Snehalaya Reunites Hashim with His Wife After Four Months

Manjeshwar, May 8, 2026: Mr. Hashim, a native of Chaphari Village, Rupauli Police Station, Purnia district of Bihar, was successfully reunited with his wife after being missing for four months.

Hashim was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on February 19, 2026, after being found wandering in a distressed condition near the Manjeshwar Bus Stop. Mr. Ashraf, an auto driver, noticed his condition and informed Snehalaya Founder Br. Joseph Crasta, following which the Snehalaya team safely shifted him to the centre for treatment and care.

During assessment, he was found to be suffering from mental illness, poor personal hygiene, wandering behaviour, and self-smiling tendencies. His family later informed that he had been undergoing treatment at Purnia Hospital for the past three years and had a history of mental illness for nearly 12 years.

Under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta and the dedicated care of the Snehalaya team, Hashim showed significant improvement through psychiatric treatment, counselling, medication, and rehabilitation support.

With the support and coordination of Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai, Hashim was reunited with his wife on May 6, 2026 . The reunion was emotional and joyful for the family. Hashim, a father of four children , was sent home with two months’ medication and instructions for regular follow-up treatment.

This reunion reflects Snehalaya’s continued commitment to restoring hope, dignity, and healing to mentally distressed individuals and reconnecting them with their families.
