Timely Care Restores Hope: Snehalaya Reunites Mr. Puneeth with His Family After Three Years

Manjeshwar, May 04, 2026: In a heartening moment of compassion and dedication, the team of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, successfully reunited Mr. Puneeth, a native of Sakleshpur in Hassan district, with his family after three long years of separation— bringing immense relief and joy to his loved ones.

Mr. Puneeth was brought by the Snehalaya team from PVS Circle, Mangalore, in a vulnerable condition. Recognizing the need for immediate care and intervention, he was safely shifted and admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on June 23, 2025.

At the time of admission, he exhibited self-smiling behavior, along with alcohol dependence syndrome (ADS), tobacco dependence syndrome (TDS), and tobacco usage—indicating the need for structured rehabilitation, medical care, and continuous psychosocial support.

With consistent treatment, compassionate care, and dedicated follow-up by the Snehalaya team, Mr. Puneeth showed gradual improvement. Parallel efforts were made to trace his family, and after persistent follow-up, his family was successfully located and informed.

The reunion was carried out on January 15, 2026, marking a deeply emotional and joyful occasion . After three years of separation, Mr. Puneeth was warmly received by his family, who expressed heartfelt gratitude and happiness on seeing him return home safely.

This successful reunion once again highlights Snehalaya Charitable Trust’s unwavering commitment to restoring lives, offering hope to the abandoned, and reconnecting individuals with their families through compassionate service and dedicated care.
