Snehalaya Reunites Mr. Vasanth Kumar with His Parents After Months of Care and Recovery

Manjeshwar, April 29, 2026: In a deeply emotional and heart-touching moment, the team of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, under the compassionate leadership of Br. Joseph Crasta, successfully reunited Mr. Vasanth Kumar, a native of Mysore , with his loving parents bringing immense relief, happiness, and renewed hope to the family.

Mr. Vasanth Kumar was found in a vulnerable condition at the Central Railway Station, Mangalore. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, the Railway Protection Force , Mangalore, alerted Br. Joseph Crasta, who guided the Snehalaya team to respond promptly. Acting on his direction, the team reached the location and safely brought him to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre.

He was admitted on September 25, 2025, for care and treatment. At the time of admission, he exhibited symptoms such as depressive mood, reduced food intake, repetitive and irrelevant speech, and increased talking behavior, indicating the need for continuous medical attention, care, and psychosocial support.

With dedicated efforts, proper treatment, and consistent follow-up, the Snehalaya team worked towards his recovery and family tracing. Their perseverance bore fruit as his family was successfully contacted and informed.

The reunion was successfully carried out on January 15, 2026, where Mr. Vasanth Kumar was warmly received by his parents. The moment was filled with deep emotions, gratitude, and tears of joy, as the family expressed their heartfelt happiness in welcoming him back home.
