ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿದ ನಂತರ, ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ದುರ್ಬಲವಾಯಿತು. 2024ರಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಡನ ಅಕಾಲಿಕ ನಿಧನ, ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ತುಂಡರಿಸಿತು…ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗಳು ನಡೆದರೂ, ಅವರೊಳಗಿನ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ದೂರವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ… 2025ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಕದನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋತು, ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳದೆ ಮನೆಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟರು…ಒಬ್ಬಳೇ ವೇಲಾಂಕನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದರು. ವೇಲಾಂಕನಿಗೆ ಹೋದ ಜೀವ …ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ, ಒಂದು ನೆರಳಾಗಿ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾದರು…ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನ ಹನಿಗಳು….ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ದಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದವು…ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಉಳಿದವು…ಆದರೆ ಉತ್ತರಗಳು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ…ಆದರೆ

ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 4, 2025 ಆಶೆಯ ಒಂದು ಕಿರಣ ಮೂಡಿತು…ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು…

ಅವರು ದುರ್ಬಲರಾಗಿದ್ದರು…ಮಾತು ಇಲ್ಲ…ಶಬ್ದ ಇಲ್ಲ…ಆದರೂ ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕೂಗು “ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ…” ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಮತೆಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು…

ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 19, 2026 ಆ ದಿನ, ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನ ಹಬ್ಬವಾಯಿತು…ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮಾತಾಡಿದವು…“ಅಮ್ಮಾ, ನಾನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ…”ಅವಳು ಕೇಳಲಾರಳು…ಅವಳು ಮಾತನಾಡಲಾರಳು…ಆದರೆ ಅವಳ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿತು…ಆ ಅಪ್ಪುಗೆ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನೋವನ್ನು ಕರಗಿಸಿದ ಕ್ಷಣ…

Family Reunion Restores Hope: Snehalaya Reunites Missing Woman with Family After Months of Uncertainty

Manjeshwar, March 19, 2026: In a deeply emotional and heart-touching moment, the Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Kasaragod, reunited 61-year-old Mrs. Jaycintha Wilma with her son Mr. Edward Raj, who travelled all the way to Snehalaya to bring his mother back home after months of painful separation and uncertainty.

Mrs. Jaycintha Wilma, a resident of 8th Cross, Adaikala Annai Nagar, Ponmalai Patti, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, had been working in Dubai in the marketing field. Due to intense work pressure, she gradually began experiencing mental health issues. During this difficult phase, she often listened to music using headphones, but tragically, she slowly started losing her hearing ability. Over time, her condition worsened to the extent that she lost both her hearing and ability to speak.

After returning to India, her situation became even more fragile. In 2024, the sudden demise of her husband deeply shattered her emotionally. Despite undergoing treatment, her condition did not improve.

In February 2025, in a distressed state of mind, she left home without informing anyone and travelled alone to Velankanni, from where she went missing. Her family filed a missing complaint at Velankanni Police Station, but there were no leads for several months.

On April 4, 2025, hope began to return when the Snehalaya team, led by Mrs. Olivia Crasta (Trustee of Snehalaya), rescued her from Mangalore Central Railway Station. She was found in a highly vulnerable condition—physically weak, with poor hygiene, and unable to speak or hear.

She was immediately admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women, where she received care, protection, and dignity.

During the rescue, a passport found in her possession became a crucial clue indicating her origin from Tamil Nadu. Though she could not communicate verbally, she tried to express her identity through a tattoo, showing her silent struggle to reconnect with her family.

The Snehalaya team made continuous and determined efforts to trace her identity. Through coordination with Ponmalai Patti Police Station (Tamil Nadu) and linking a missing complaint from Velankanni Police Station, her identity was finally confirmed.

Once informed, her son Mr. Edward Raj immediately travelled to Snehalaya, carrying months of hope, fear, and longing.

On March 19, 2026, the long-awaited reunion took place at Snehalaya.

As Edward Raj saw his mother after months of uncertainty, he rushed towards her with tears in his eyes. Though Mrs. Jaycintha Wilma could neither hear nor speak, her eyes lit up with recognition. Their embrace was deeply moving—filled with love, pain, relief, and an unbreakable bond.

There were no words, only tears—tears that spoke of loss, longing, and reunion.

This was not just a reunion, but a powerful reminder of humanity, hope, and the strength of family love.

Under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, Snehalaya Charitable Trust continues its mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and reuniting vulnerable individuals.
