ಕವಿತಾ ಮಾಲಿಕ್ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು, ನಗುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಗಮನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಿತು.

ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿ ಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಗಮನಿಸಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.

Snehalaya Admits Woman Found Wandering at Mangalore Junction for Rehabilitation Care

Manjeshwar, March 11, 2026: In a compassionate step to protect and support a vulnerable individual in distress, Ms. Kavitha Malik, a native of Hapur District under Tehsil and Kotwali jurisdiction of Uttar Pradesh, was admitted to Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre after being found wandering in a distressed condition at Mangalore Junction Railway Station.

Ms. Kavitha Malik was observed exhibiting wandering behaviour, self-smiling, self-talking, and poor personal hygiene, appearing disconnected from her surroundings and without immediate support. Her condition indicated the urgent need for structured care, medical attention, and psychosocial rehabilitation.

The matter was responsibly brought to attention by Mr. Sunil Kumar, a taxi driver at Mangalore Junction Railway Station, who noticed her vulnerable condition and informed the authorities. Acting promptly, the Snehalaya team reached the location and safely brought her under protective care.

On March 10, 2026, Ms. Kavitha Malik was formally admitted to Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre for medical evaluation, personal hygiene support, and comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation in a secure and caring environment.
