Snehalaya Founder Leads Life-Saving Intervention for Distressed Man

Manjeshwar, February 09, 2026: In a humane and timely intervention, Mr. Suryaman Singh, a resident of Andheri, Maharashtra , was found in a helpless condition near the Taj Hotel area in Kumble, Kasaragod district, and rescued by the Snehalaya team led by its founder, Br. Joseph Crasta. The action was taken following concerns raised by local residents regarding his mental and physical condition.

Mr. Suryaman Singh was found in a confused state, displaying incoherent speech, inappropriate self-laughter, severe delusional symptoms (ADS), signs of thought disorder (TDS), and disorientation. Based on information provided by noted Businessman and social worker Mr. Raju Stephen D’Souza, a resident of Kumble, the Snehalaya team promptly reached the location and safely rescued Mr. Suryaman Singh. On February 06, 2026, Mr. Suryaman Singh was formally admitted for medical examination, psychological evaluation, and necessary rehabilitation support. He is currently under proper care in a safe and dignified environment, with his physical and mental health needs being adequately addressed.
