Manjeshwar, January 09, 2026: Mr. Pawan Pandit , originally named Amlesh Vishvakarma, son of Halkhori Mistri and a native of Dadhpa Village, Aurangabad District, Bihar, was successfully reunited with his mother and father after being missing for nearly four months. Mr. Pandit is married and has a 15-year history of mental illness, for which he had earlier received treatment for approximately three years. No formal missing complaint had been lodged during his absence.

Mr. Pandit was rescued on October 19, 2025, by the Manjeshwar Police from Uppala Town , Kasaragod, where he was found in a vulnerable, distressed, and disoriented condition, without shelter or support. He was unable to provide clear personal or family details, indicating significant psychosocial challenges.

Following the rescue, he was safely admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, Kasaragod. Under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta , along with the Snehalaya care team, Mr. Pandit received psychiatric evaluation, medical care, counselling, and continuous emotional support, ensuring his safety, recovery, and overall well-being.

The Snehalaya team, in coordination with Shredha Foundation, Mumbai , initiated sustained and meticulous efforts to trace his identity and family background. These collaborative efforts proved successful, and on December 29, 2025, Mr. Pawan Pandit was joyfully reunited with his parents at his native place in Bihar. The reunion was deeply emotional, with the family expressing immense relief, gratitude, and happiness. The response from villagers and neighbors was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting strong community solidarity and compassion.

This successful reunion stands as a powerful example of compassionate humanitarian service and inter-organizational collaboration, highlighting the dedicated efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Kasaragod, and Shredha Foundation, Mumbai in restoring dignity, hope, and family bonds for individuals affected by mental health challenges and displacement.

ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳ ಮೌನದ ನಂತರ… ಮತ್ತೆ ಮನೆಯ ದಾರಿ

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜನವರಿ 09, 2026: ಜೀವನ ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿದ ಪಯಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನೆನಪುಗಳು ಮಸುಕಾಗುತ್ತವೆ, ಮುಖಗಳು ಅನ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ, ಮನಸ್ಸು ತನ್ನದೇ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂಥದೇ ಒಂದು ಮೌನಯಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು ಶ್ರೀ ಪವನ್ ಪಂಡಿತ್.

ಬಿಹಾರದ ಔರಂಗಾಬಾದ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ದಾಧ್ಪಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಈ ಮಗ, ವಿವಾಹಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸುಮಾರು 15 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು. ಕಾಲದ ಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮನೆಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟರು… ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಅವರ ಸುಳಿವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತಾಯಿ–ತಂದೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ದಾರಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದವು.

2025 ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 19ರಂದು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡಿನ ಉಪ್ಪಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಶ್ರಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊಂದಲ, ನೆನಪುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಸುಕು — ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರು, ಊರು, ಕುಟುಂಬ… ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ.

ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಹೊಸ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ. ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶದಿಂದ ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ತುಂಬಿತು.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಒಂದಾಗಿ, ಒಂದು ಹೆಸರು, ಒಂದು ಊರು, ಒಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ದಿನಗಳು ಕಳೆದವು… ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಜೀವಂತವಿತ್ತು.

ಅಂತೂ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 29, 2025 ರಂದು, ಆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಸಾಕಾರವಾಯಿತು.
ಬಿಹಾರದ ದಾಧ್ಪಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿ–ತಂದೆಯ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ. ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಮಾತಾಯಿತು. ಮೌನ ಕರಗಿತು. ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳ ನೋವು, ಒಂದು ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿದುಹೋಯಿತು. ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರ ಸಂತೋಷ, ನೆರೆಯವರ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ — ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ ಜಯಘೋಷವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ಕಥೆ ಕೇವಲ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ದಯೆ, ಸಹಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಶಕ್ತಿ. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ದಾರಿಗೂ ಮನೆ ಸೇರುವ ದಿಕ್ಕು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು.
