Manjeshwar, January 06, 2026: Mr. Devan was safely rescued and admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre after being found in a vulnerable condition on the streets of Kasaragod.
The rescue operation was carried out on January 03, 2026, with the support of the Kasaragod Police. Mr. Devan was brought to Snehalaya by Kasaragod Police Officer Mr. Saleem after he was noticed wandering on the streets exhibiting signs of anxiety, suspiciousness, and poor personal hygiene.
Considering his physical and mental condition and the immediate need for care, protection, and supervision, the Snehalaya team received him and ensured his safe admission to the centre. Following admission, necessary medical attention, observation, and psycho-social support have been initiated.
Further assessment procedures are currently underway to better understand his condition, background, and personal history. Efforts are also being made to trace his family members and facilitate possible reunion.
Under the guidance of Bro. Joseph Crasta, Snehalaya continues its humanitarian mission of rescuing individuals in distress, providing comprehensive rehabilitation services, and restoring dignity and hope to vulnerable persons.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜನವರಿ 06, 2026: ಕಾಸರಗೋಡ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದುರ್ಬಲ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಶ್ರೀ ದೇವನ್ ರವರನ್ನು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ತಂಡವು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಜನವರಿ 03, 2026 ರಂದು ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀ ದೇವನ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತಂಕ, ಸಂಶಯಭಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಯಂ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ಕೊರತೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಕಂಡ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಲೀಂ ಅವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
