Manjeshwar, January 02, 2026: A woman, later named Latha by the Snehalaya team, was safely rescued from the Central Railway Station by the Snehalaya team after being found in a vulnerable condition.
Upon observing her distressed physical and mental state, the snehalaya team intervened and ensured her immediate safety. She was subsequently shifted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on 26/12/2025, where she is currently receiving necessary medical care, counselling, and emotional support.
Initial assessments are underway to understand her background and trace her family. The team is making sincere efforts to gather information that may help in her safe reintegration with her loved ones.
Under the compassionate guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta , Founder of Snehalaya, the organisation continues its mission of rescuing and rehabilitating individuals in distress, restoring dignity, care, and hope to the most vulnerable.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜನವರಿ 02, 2026: ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದೆ. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಆಕೆಗೆ “ಲತಾ” ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ.
ಆಕೆಯ ದೈಹಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ದುರ್ಬಲವಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ತಂಡವು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ದಿನಾಂಕ 26/12/2025 ರಂದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಸಲಹೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮರುಸೇರಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಸತತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಕರುಣಾಮಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಗೌರವ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಮರುಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವ ತನ್ನ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
