Manjeshwar, December 11, 2025: A man identified as A. Binoy , hailing from Periyaram, Kannur, was brought to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre by public persons from Kodambalur Panchayat, Kasaragod, after he was found in a mentally disturbed condition that raised concern among the local community.
According to the information shared with Br. Joseph Crasta , Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Binoy was exhibiting severe psychiatric symptoms, including self-smiling, self-talking, hallucinations, and frequent mood swings, all indicative of significant thought and perceptual disturbances. Recognizing his vulnerable state and the urgent need for professional intervention, the public ensured his safe transfer to Snehalaya.
Binoy was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on September 26, 2025, where he is currently undergoing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, treatment, and psychosocial rehabilitation. The team at Snehalaya is providing continuous care aimed at stabilising his condition and supporting his recovery.
