Manjeshwar, December 2, 2025: Mr. Montul Ram , a native of Singahi Deoria, Muzaffarpur District, Bihar, who had been missing for one year, was successfully reunited with his family on November 6, 2025, through the committed and coordinated efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Mangalore.

Mr. Montul Ram was admitted to Snehalaya founded by Br. Joseph Crasta on August 25, 2025, after being rescued from Yayyadi Street, Mangalore, where he was found wandering in a highly disoriented and vulnerable condition. He was brought to the centre by Mr. Kiran Kumar, a social worker and businessman. Upon admission, he presented with poor personal hygiene, hallucinations, delusional thoughts, and wandering behaviour, indicating severe psychiatric distress.

Investigations revealed that Mr. Ram had previously been employed in the collection of sap (tadi) from trees. He had suffered injuries after falling from a tree during work, and following this incident, his mental health deteriorated sharply. This decline ultimately led to his disappearance. It was also noted that no missing person complaint had been registered during the period he was away from home.

Through continuous psychiatric treatment, behavioural interventions, and psychosocial rehabilitation provided at Snehalaya, Mr. Ram slowly regained mental stability. As his condition improved, he began recalling personal and family details, which enabled the team to trace his home in Bihar.

On November 6, 2025, he was reunited with his father, brother, and sister-in-law, who received him with deep emotion and heartfelt gratitude. The reunion brought immense relief to the family, and villagers and neighbours also expressed joy at his safe return.

This successful rehabilitation and family reunion stand as a strong testament to the unwavering dedication, compassion, and humanitarian mission of Snehalaya Charitable Trust and Shraddha Foundation Mumbai.
