Manjeshwar, November 21, 2025: In a compassionate and timely intervention, Snehalaya Psycho–Social Rehabilitation Center successfully reunited Mr. Ramakant Patil with his daughter, Ms. Chhaya Shukla, and his family after rescuing him from the streets of Kasaragod and providing necessary medical care.

Mr. Patil, who was found wandering in a distressed state on the streets of Kasaragod, was rescued by S.I. of Kasaragod, Mr. Rajeevan K., from the streets of Kasaragod and brought to Snehalaya on November 18. Upon admission, he exhibited symptoms of mental distress, including anxiety, poor hygiene, irritation, tobacco dependence, and wandering behavior. The medical and psycho-social team at Snehalaya immediately provided continuous treatment, including medication, counseling, and behavioral therapy. Within just three days, his condition improved significantly, enabling him to share details about his family during conversations.

According to family sources, Mr. Patil had previously worked as a taxi driver in Mumbai. Due to an emotionally unsettling situation at home, he experienced mental instability and left his hometown, eventually losing contact with his family.

Under the leadership of Snehalaya’s founder, Br. Joseph Crasta, the team swiftly traced his daughter, Ms. Chhaya Shukla, who resides in Revathapur, Amroha tehsil, Pratapgarh district, Uttar Pradesh. Based on the information received on Thursday afternoon, the family traveled to Snehalaya on Friday and joyfully reunited with him. After being missing for a week, a deeply emotional father–daughter and family reunion took place today at Snehalaya.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 21, 2025: ಕಾಸರಗೋಡಿನ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಕಾಂತ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ,ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಇಂದು ಪುತ್ರಿ ಛಾಯಾ ಶುಕ್ಲಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವನ್ನು ಸಾಧ್ಯಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ಶ್ರೀ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ಕಾಸರಗೋಡಿನ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಠಾಣೆಯ ಉಪನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜೀವನ್ ಕೆ. ಅವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 18ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ತಂಡವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಔಷಧೋಪಚಾರ, ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ವರ್ತನಾ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು. ಕೇವಲ ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಸುಧಾರಿಸಿತು, ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಮುಂಬೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಟ್ಯಾಕ್ಸಿ ಚಾಲಕರಾಗಿದ್ದ ರಾಮಕಾಂತ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು, ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಅಸ್ಥಿರ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶದಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟು ಊರಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡವು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು, ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಪ್ರತಾಪಗಢ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅಮ್ರೋಹಾ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ರೇವತಾಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರಿ ಛಾಯಾ ಶುಕ್ಲಾಳನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿತು. ಗುರುವಾರ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಲಭ್ಯವಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಅವರು ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಒಂದು ವಾರದಿಂದ ಕಳೆದುಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಇಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆ–ಮಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ನಡುವಿನ ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ಮರುಭೇಟಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯುಳ್ಳ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಧ್ಯೇಯವಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್‌ನ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯನಿಷ್ಠೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೀವಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಅವರ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಧೋರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸಾಬೀತುಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.
