Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Mangaluru, a jewel in Psycho socio development domain provided a new facility to the inmates and the staff members keeping in mind the holistic development of inmates.
On 8th November 2025, the new gym facility named “Snehalaya Fitzone” was inaugurated by an eminent philanthropist, donor and business Icon Shri Joseph Elias Menezes. The facility will be monitored and training will be provided by the trained trainer for de addiction inmates, psycho social inmates and the staff members to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic rehabilitation. with a structured environment for daily exercise and self-improvement.
The inaugural program began with a prayer song followed by lighting of the lamp and an apt key note address by the Founder and Managing Trustee Br. Joseph Crasta of Snehalaya, , who spoke about the vision behind the Snehalaya Fitzone, emphasizing the importance of fitness as an integral part of Snehalaya’s therapeutic care model.

The facility was inaugurated by Mr. Joseph Elias Menezes, followed by divine blessing by Rev. Fr. Cyril Dsouza the chaplain of Snehalaya. The guests also witnessed inauguration of another basic facility for the inmates, the men saloon. The guests also gave a start to the various gym equipment..
Shri Joseph Elias Menezes acknowledged the gracious donation of sponsoring the gym and expressed his heartfelt thanks to Mr. Willvan and Mrs. Janet Fernandes for their willingness to support the newly established Snehalaya Fitzone,
Joseph Menezes is fondly remembered for his generous contribution to the Snehalaya Manah Programme for 100 years. He said helping such institutions is Gods mission and each of our responsibility.
Mr. Joseph Elias Menezes commended Snehalaya’s unwavering commitment to compassionate service and community welfare, describing the institution as “a truly holy place.”
He further praised Snehalaya for its selfless charitable initiatives that provide shelter, medical care, counselling, and rehabilitation to the homeless and individuals battling psychological and emotional challenges. He noted that Snehalaya’s work goes beyond treatment—it restores dignity, hope, and purpose to lives that were once broken. He called upon well-wishers and the community to join hands with Snehalaya in continuing its noble mission of serving humanity with love and compassion.
On this occasion Mr. Joslan Derick Dsouza and Mr. Naveen Monterio in recognition of their valuable contributions towards promoting health and fitness were felicitated
The newly inaugurated gym Trainer Mr. Mohammed Shijas and installer Mr. Mohammad Jafar K were introduced to the gathering.
The vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. Olivia K. L., Trustee cum Secretary, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, guests, staff members, and residents for their support in making the Snehalaya Fitzone a reality. ಮಂಗಳೂರು: ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ನಿಂದ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಜಿಮ್ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವನ್ನು “ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಫಿಟ್ಝೋನ್” ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಫಿಟ್ಝೋನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಮನೋ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಸನ ಮುಕ್ತ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಶಾರೀರಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ದೈನಂದಿನ ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮವಿಕಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವಂತಹ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ, .

ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಪ್ಜ್ ಅವರು ಹೊಸ ಫಿಟ್ಝೋನ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಲು ಮುಂದಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಲ್ವನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೆನೇಟ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ “ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನ್ನಾ ” ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಎಲಿಯಾಸ್ ಮೆನಿಜಸ್ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಸದಾ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸೇವಾ ಮಿಷನ್ಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಾನಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶುಭಚಿಂತಕರಿಗೂ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಫಿಟ್ಝೋನನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಎಲಿಯಾಸ್ ಮಿನೇಜಸ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ವಂದನೀಯ ಫಾ. ಸಿರಿಲ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಆಶೀರ್ವಚನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಜಿಮ್ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ವ್ರಧ್ದಿಯ ಪಾರ್ಲರ್ ವ್ಯ್ವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.
ಮುಖ್ಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಎಲಿಯಾಸ್ ಮಿನೆಜಸ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ದಯೆಪೂರ್ಣ ಸೇವಾ ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿಸಿ, “ಇದು ನಿಜವಾದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳ” ಎಂದು ಬಣ್ಣಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಸ್ವತಃ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಲ್ವನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೆನೇಟ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದ್ದಾಗಿ, ಅವರು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೌಜನ್ಯಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ, ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.
“ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಕೇವಲ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಇದು ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಗೌರವ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ನೀಡುವ ತಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ.” ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದರು
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಫಿಟ್ನೆಸ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಪ್ರೇರಣಾದಾಯಕ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೊಸ್ಲಾನ್ ಡೆರಿಕ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ನವೀನ್ ಮೊಂತೆರೋ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ತರಬೇತುದಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಶಿಜಾಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಾಪನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಜಾಫರ್ ಕೆ. ಅವರಿಗೂ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಒಲಿವಿಯಾ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್. ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
