Manjeshwar, October 15, 2025: After six years of uncertainty and separation, Mr. Deepchandh was joyfully reunited with his brother and sister-in-law in Gotegaon, Narsimhapur District, Madhya Pradesh. The emotional reunion brought immense relief and happiness to his family and the local community, marking yet another successful family restoration effort by the Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Manjeshwar, in collaboration with the Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai.

On July 15, 2025, Deepchandh who has been living with mental illness for over 25 years—was rescued after being found wandering near Surathkal Junction in Mangalore, displaying signs of severe mental distress. He had previously undergone eight years of treatment in Narsimhapur. About six years ago, he had suddenly left home without informing anyone, and no missing person complaint was filed at that time. His prolonged absence left his family deeply distressed, though they continued to hope for his return.

Witnessing his condition, Mr. Kiran, a social worker, resident of Karkala, immediately informed Br. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya. In a compassionate act, Mr. Kiran personally transported Deepchandh in his own vehicle to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre in Manjeshwar, where he was safely admitted. According to Mr. Kiran, Deepchandh appeared highly disoriented and exhibited symptoms of a serious psychiatric condition at the time of rescue.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 15, 2025: ಆರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅನಿಶ್ಚಿತತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಗಲಿಕೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ, ಶ್ರೀ ದೀಪಚಂದ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರ ಮತ್ತು ಅತ್ತಿಗೆಯವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ನರ್ಸಿಂಹಾಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗೊಟೆಗೆವಾನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನಃ ಒಂದಾದರು. ಈ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಭೇಟಿಯಿಂದ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಮೂಡಿತು. ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೆಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಅವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

ಜುಲೈ 15, 2025ರಂದು ದೀಪಚಂದ್ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ತೊಂದರೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಇದ್ದು, ಮೊದಲು ನರ್ಸಿಂಹಾಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಸುಮಾರು ಆರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅವರು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳದೆ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕಾಣೆಯಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಯಾವುದೇ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಿಂದ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ತುಂಬಾ ದುಃಖ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿತು, ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಮರಳಿ ಬರುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಕೊನೆಗೂ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ದೀಪಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ದುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಕಾರ್ಕಳದ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಕಿರಣ್, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಬ್ರದರ್ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ಟಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯಿಂದ, ಕಿರಣ್ ತಮ್ಮದೇ ವಾಹನದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಪಚಂದ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅತನನ್ನು ಪುರುಷರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು. ಕಿರಣ್ ಅವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಪಚಂದ್ ತುಂಬಾ ಗೊಂದಲದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಗಂಭೀರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ದೀಪಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 9, 2025ರಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಮುಂಬೈಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿತು. ಗೊಟೆಗೆವಾನ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಜನರು ಸಹ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ದೀಪಚಂದ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
