ಸುಮಾರು 1.5 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಡಿಶಾ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಗಂಜಾಂ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅರೋಖಿತ್ ಅವರು, ಜೀವನದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಗಳು, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಭಿನ್ನಾಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳಿಂದ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದರು. ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರು ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದರು.

2025 ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 23ರಂದು, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಪ್ರೊಟೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು. ನಂತರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸೈಕೋ-ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ರಿಹ್ಯಾಬಿಲಿಟೇಶನ್ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಲಾಯಿತು.

ಕುಟುಂಬದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಸಂತೋಷದ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು, ನಗು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮನವನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಿದವು. ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಮತ್ತು ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರು ಕೂಡ ಈ ಸಂತಸದ ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾದರು.

Family Reunion Brings Hope: Snehalaya Reunites Missing Man with Family After 1.5 Years

Manjeshwar, March 18, 2026: In a compassionate act of service, the Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Kasaragod, successfully reunited Mr. Arokhit from Gundicha Nagar, Kanisi Hata, Konisi, Ganjam District, Odisha, with his younger brother after he had been missing for nearly 1.5 years.

Mr. Arokhit was rescued by the Snehalaya team on December 23, 2025, from Mangaluru Junction Railway Station, following information received from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and further communicated to Br. Joseph Crasta. He was found in a vulnerable condition and was subsequently admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for care and treatment.

According to available information, Mr. Arokhit had a history of mental illness for the past five years. Due to lack of awareness and poor financial condition, he had not received any treatment. Family-related issues, including property disputes between his brothers, led to emotional distress. Over time, he developed depression and began consuming alcohol and cannabis, which further affected his mental health. Eventually, he left his home and had been missing since then.

Mr. Arokhit belongs to a Telugu-speaking family. His younger brother and mother reside in Berhampur, while his elder brother lives in Ichhapuram, Andhra Pradesh. Due to ongoing family disputes, they had been living separately.

With the coordinated support of Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai, efforts to trace his family were strengthened, leading to successful identification and contact with his loved ones.

On March 16, 2026, Snehalaya successfully reunited him with his family. The reunion was heartwarming, with positive emotional responses from both family members and the local community, including neighbours and villagers.

Under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, and with the support of Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai, Snehalaya Charitable Trust continues its mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and reuniting vulnerable individuals with their families, restoring hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging in their lives.
