ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 04, 2026:ನಗರ ಜೀವನದ ಗದ್ದಲದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ, ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಗೋಚರಿಸದಂತೆ ಒಂದು ಜೀವ ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಬಿಹಾರ ಮೂಲದ ಸೂರಜ್, ಹೆಸರು ಸೂರ್ಯನಂತ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾದರೂ, ಬದುಕಿನ ಹಾದಿ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದುಹೋಗಿತ್ತು. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ವಲೆನ್ಸಿಯಾದ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ದಿಕ್ಕುತೋಚದೆ ನಡೆದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಒಬ್ಬರೇ ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ನಗುತ್ತಾ, ಅಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾದ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು, ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧವಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುವ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಇವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಒಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಮೌನ ಕಿರುಚಾಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ವಲೆನ್ಸಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರೋನ್ಸನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯ ಸ್ಪಂದನೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಒಂದು ಕರೆ……… ಆದರೆ ಆ ಕರೆ ಒಂದು ಜೀವದ ತಿರುವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸಿತು.

ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 03, 2026ರಂದು ಸೂರಜ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಪುನಃಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯೋಜಿತ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ, ಅಲೆದಾಟದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಹಾದಿಯತ್ತ ತಿರುಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಕಣ್ಣಲ್ಲಿ ಅಜ್ಞಾತ ಭಯವಿದ್ದ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಭರವಸೆಯ ಕಿರಣ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಗದ್ದಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆತುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಜೀವ, ಈಗ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಗೋಡೆಗಳ ಒಳಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಬದುಕಿನ ಮೊದಲ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ ಬರೆಯಲು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.

Snehalaya Admits Man Found Wandering in Valencia for Rehabilitation Care
Manjeshwar, March 04, 2026: In yet another compassionate outreach to protect and restore a vulnerable life, Suraj, a native of Bihar, was brought under the protective care of Snehalaya Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre after being found wandering in Valencia, Mangalore, in a distressed and neglected state.
Suraj was observed exhibiting wandering behaviour, poor personal hygiene, and episodes of self-smiling, appearing disconnected from his surroundings and without any immediate support system. His condition reflected the urgent need for structured care, medical attention, and psychosocial rehabilitation.
The matter was responsibly brought to attention by Mr. Ronson D’souza of Valencia to Br. Joseph Crasta, whose timely humanitarian response made the intervention possible. Upon receiving the information, the Snehalaya team acted without delay, reaching the location to ensure Suraj’s safe rescue and dignified transfer to the rehabilitation centre.
On March 03, 2026, Suraj was formally admitted under Snehalaya’s care for detailed medical assessment, restoration of personal hygiene, and structured psychosocial rehabilitation. What once appeared to be a life drifting unnoticed on the streets has now found direction, safety, and renewed hope within the protective walls of Snehalaya.
