ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 02, 2026: ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳ ವೇದನಾದಾಯಕ ವಿಭಿನ್ನದ ನಂತರ, ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್‌ಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗದರ್‌ವಾರಾ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಗರಹ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಮೂಲದ ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಗನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾವುಕ ಮರುಸಂಗಮ ಹೊಂದಿದರು. ಈ ಮಿಲನವು ಮಗನಿಗೂ, ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರಿಗೂ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ತಂದಿತು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೃದಯಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಕಳೆದ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾಣೆಯಾದವರ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವರ ಮಗ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಕಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಳೆದ 12 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದ್ದು, ಅರಿವು ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮರ್ಪಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ದೊರಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಅವರ ಪತಿಯ ನಿಧನದ ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟು, ಆ ದುರ್ಬಲ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

20-11-2025 ರಂದು ಅವರು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕರ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ಕೇರಳದ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತ ಅವರ ಕರುಣೆಯ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರೈಕೆ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಿರಂತರ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲಿಂಗ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನಸಿಕ-ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ, ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಖಚಿತಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನಂತರ, 24-02-2026 ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಮಗನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮರುಸಂಗಮ ಮಾಡಿಸಿತು.
ಈ ಮಿಲನವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಾವುಕ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಮಗ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಮಯೋಚಿತ ಹಸ್ತಕ್ಷೇಪ ಮತ್ತು ಕರುಣಾಮಯ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗುವಿಕೆದಿಂದ ಮರುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆವರೆಗಿನ ಪಯಣವು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಜಾಗೃತಿ, ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಮರುಕಟ್ಟಲು ಮತ್ತು ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನಃಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಹತ್ವದ್ದು ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಜೀವಂತ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

From Six Months of Separation to a Tearful Reunion: Savitribai Reunited with Her Son

Manjeshwar, March 02, 2026: After six painful months of separation, Ms. Savitribai, also known as Sapana/Kranti, Rani, and Radha, a native of Village Garha, Thana Sihora, Post Garha, Tehsil Gadarwara, District Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh, was successfully reunited with her son in an emotional homecoming. The reunion brought immense joy to her son, family members, and neighbours, who warmly welcomed her back.

Savitribai had been missing for the past six months . No missing complaint had been lodged, yet her son had been tirelessly searching for her without success. She has a past history of mental illness for the last 12 years , and due to lack of awareness, she had not received proper treatment. Following the death of her husband last year, her mental health condition worsened significantly, and during this vulnerable period, she went missing from home.

On 20-11-2025, she was picked up by Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Kasaragod, Kerala, under the compassionate leadership of Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust. She was found wandering in a distressed condition and was admitted to the Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre for immediate psychiatric evaluation, medical treatment, and supportive care.

Under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, she underwent consistent treatment, counselling, and psycho-social rehabilitation over the following months. After carefully tracing her family and ensuring her medical stability, Snehalaya facilitated her safe reunion with her son on 24-02-2026.

The reunion was deeply emotional, as her son expressed overwhelming happiness after seeing his mother again after six long months . The family and villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude to Snehalaya and Br. Joseph Crasta for their timely intervention and compassionate care.

Savitribai’s journey from disappearance to restoration stands as a powerful testimony to the importance of mental health awareness, dedicated rehabilitation, and humanitarian service in rebuilding broken family bonds and restoring hope.
