ಮೌನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದವನು, ಕರುಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಬದುಕು ಕಂಡವನು…ನೌಫಲ್‌ಗೆ ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಎರಡನೇ ಅವಕಾಶ

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 21, 2026: “ಒಬ್ಬರ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದು ಕರುಣೆ ಅಲ್ಲ… ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವುದು ನಿಜವಾದ ಮಾನವತ್ವ.”
ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ಮಂಗಲಾದೇವಿ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಸಮೀಪ ಮನಮುಟ್ಟುವ ಘಟನೆಯೊಂದು ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅರಾಫಾ ಕಾಂಪ್ಲೆಕ್ಸ್, ಅಜೀಜುದ್ದೀನ್ ರಸ್ತೆ, ಬಂದರ್, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಯುವಕ ನೌಫಲ್ ಅಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಮತ್ತು ದಿಕ್ಕುತಪ್ಪಿದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು. ಇದು ಅವರ ಎರಡನೇ ದಾಖಲಾಗುವಿಕೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಪಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿದ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೌಫಲ್ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂತು. ಅವರು ಅತಿಯಾಗಿ ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಾತನಾಡುವಿಕೆ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪರಿಸರದಿಂದ ದೂರವಾದಂತಿದ್ದರು. ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಕೊರತೆ, ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಕುಂಠಿತವಾಗಿರುವುದು, ಗೊಂದಲಭರಿತ ನಡೆ-ನುಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ದಿಕ್ಕುತಪ್ಪಿದ ಅಲೆದಾಟ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ತಕ್ಷಣದ ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಹಸ್ತಕ್ಷೇಪದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.
ಈ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಯುವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಿತಿನ್ ಬಂಗೇರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಾವೂರು ನಿವಾಸಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಡಿ’ಸೋಜಾ ಅವರು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ನೌಫಲ್ ಕೇವಲ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರು ಒಳಗಿನ ಮೌನ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡ ಇವರ ಸಮಯೋಚಿತ ಕ್ರಮವು ಅವರ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ತಿರುವು ನೀಡಿತು.
“ಮೌನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಕರುಣೆಯ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶವೇ ಮತ್ತೆ ಜೀವಂತಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.”
ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ಟಾ ಅವರ ಕರುಣಾಮಯ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿತು. ಮಂಗಲಾದೇವಿ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಸಮೀಪದ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಿಂದ ನೌಫಲ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಕರೆತಂದು 19/02/2026 ರಂದು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ನೌಫಲ್ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಿತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಯೋಜಿತ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಡಿ ಆರೈಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ಥಿರೀಕರಣ, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ, ಔಷಧ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲೀನ ಚೇತರಿಕೆ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಗಮನ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಅವರ ಎರಡನೇ ದಾಖಲಾಗುವಿಕೆ ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಮರುಕಳಿಕೆ ತಡೆಯಲು ನಿರಂತರ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಮಗೆ ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಒಂದು ಹೋರಾಟದ ಕಥೆ, ಒಂದು ದುರ್ಬಲತೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಪುನಃ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲಿಸಲು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆಶೆಯ ದೀಪವಿದೆ.
ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತನ್ನ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಗೌರವ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ಟಾ ಅವರ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Lost in Silence, Found in Compassion: Noufal Given a Second Chance at Care

Manjeshwar, February 21, 2026: In a deeply moving incident near Mangaldevi Circle Bus Stand, Mangalore, a young man identified as Noufal, a native of Arafa Complex, Azizuddin Road, Bunder, Mangalore, was found wandering in a vulnerable and disoriented condition. This marks his second admission, highlighting the continuing challenges he faces in his mental health journey.

Noufal was noticed in distress at the bus stand, appearing withdrawn, minimally communicative, and disconnected from his surroundings. He exhibited poor personal hygiene, decreased speech, disorientation, and wandering behaviour, indicating the need for immediate psychosocial and medical intervention.

The situation was compassionately brought to attention by Mr. Jithin Bangera, Youth Congress President , along with Mrs. Jyothi D’Souza of Pavoor, who recognized that Noufal was not simply loitering but was silently battling inner turmoil. Their timely concern became the turning point in preventing further risk to his safety.

Upon receiving the information, the Snehalaya team, under the compassionate leadership and guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, responded promptly. Noufal was safely brought from the bus stand near Mangaldevi Circle and formally admitted on 19/02/2026 for comprehensive care and psychiatric evaluation.

Currently, Noufal is under supervised treatment and structured rehabilitation support. The focus remains on stabilization, mental health assessment, medication management, counseling, and long-term recovery planning. Being his second admission, special attention is being given to continuity of care and sustained rehabilitation to prevent relapse.

This incident once again reminds the community that behind every wandering figure on the streets is a story of struggle, vulnerability, and hope waiting to be restored.
