ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳು ಒಂದು ಮನೆ ಬಾಗಿಲು ತೆರೆದೆಯೇ ಇತ್ತು, ಒಂದು ಹೃದಯ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇತ್ತು,
ಒಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಆಶೆಯ ದೀಪ ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡೇ ಇತ್ತು…….

21/10/2025 ರಂದು, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಮಣ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂ ಪಾವೂರು ಅವರ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಆಶ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿತು. ಅವರು ದೈಹಿಕವಾಗಿ ದುರ್ಬಲರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಶಾಂತಿಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದರು.
ಆಶ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು TDS (Tardive Dyskinesia Syndrome), ಅಲೆದಾಟದ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾನೇ ತಾನಾಗಿ ಮಾತಾಡುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಬೀದಿ ಜೀವನದ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ, ಏಕಾಂಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಹಾನಿಗೊಳಿಸಿತ್ತು……
ನಂತರ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಂತೆ, ಔಷಧಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತಿರುಪತಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಮರಳಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಆತಂಕ, ಅಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಾಶೆಯ ನಡುವೆ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಿಗದೆ, ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ನೋವು ಅಳೆಯಲಾಗದಂತಿತ್ತು……

From Forgotten Streets to Familiar Arms: Snehalaya Brings Back T V Ramana to His Waiting Family

Manjeshwar, February 12, 2026 : In a deeply emotional and heart-touching intervention, Snehalaya Charitable Trust , guided by the humane vision of Br. Joseph Crasta, has given hope, healing, and a second chance at life to Mr. T V Ramana , reuniting him with his anxious and longing family after months of painful uncertainty.

Mr. T V Ramana , a native of Narwa Village, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh, was admitted to Snehalaya on 21/10/2025 after being informed by a concerned public person, Mr. Ibrahim Pavoor . He was found in a vulnerable and distressed condition wandering aimlessly on the streets of Manjeshwar and was brought to Snehalaya by the dedicated Snehalaya team for immediate care and protection.

At the time of admission, Mr. Ramana was suffering from TDS (Tardive Dyskinesia Syndrome), wandering behaviour, poor personal hygiene, and self-muttering, clear signs of deep mental distress and neglect. His deteriorated condition reflected the harsh realities of street life—exposure, loneliness, and abandonment, with no one to care for him or understand his suffering.

It later came to light that Mr. Ramana had been missing for four months due to discontinuation of his medication. His wife painfully reported that he had left home for Tirupati, a place of pilgrimage and faith, but tragically never returned. During these months, his family lived in constant fear, anxiety, and helplessness, desperately waiting for any news about his whereabouts.

Mr. Ramana is a retired government military driver , who served the nation with dedication and now receives a modest pension of ₹5,000 per month. Despite his past service and dignity, mental illness and circumstances had pushed him into a life of invisibility on the streets.

Under the compassionate supervision of Br. Joseph Crasta, the Snehalaya team provided him with continuous medical treatment, psychosocial counseling, emotional care, and dignified rehabilitation. Beyond just treating his symptoms, they treated him as a human being deserving of respect, warmth, and belonging.

Through careful verification, coordination, and persistent efforts, Snehalaya was able to trace and contact his family in Andhra Pradesh. The moment of reunion was deeply moving—filled with tears, relief, and overwhelming gratitude. His wife and family, who had almost lost hope over time, welcomed him back with open hearts, grateful that he was alive and safe.

His family expressed profound gratitude to Br. Joseph Crasta and Snehalaya Charitable Trust for their timely rescue, selfless care, and relentless commitment to reuniting families broken apart by mental illness and social neglect.
