ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಭಿಂದ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗೋರ್ಮಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ರಿಷಿಕೇಶ್ (ಹೆಸರು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ), ಕಳೆದ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದವರು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಅವರ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾವುಕವಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕ್ಷಣ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ, ಸಂತೋಷ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಸ ಭರವಸೆಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ರಿಷಿಕೇಶ್ ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಸಂಕಟವನ್ನು ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ, ಸೂಕ್ತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ದೊರಕದ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆಯ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ದಿನೇದಿನೇ ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಸುಮಾರು ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅವರು ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದ ನಂತರ, ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ ಮರಳಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ನೋವು ಮತ್ತು ಅಸ್ಥಿರತೆಯ ನಡುವೆ ಅವರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
2025ರ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14ರಂದು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತೀವ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ, ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಗೊಂದಲದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದ ರಿಷಿಕೇಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಕರುಣಾಮಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು. ನಂತರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ, ಅಗತ್ಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಸೇವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂವೇದನಾಶೀಲವಾಗಿ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ನಿರಂತರ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ, ಕಾಳಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯ ಆರೈಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂತು.
ಸತತ ಅನುಸರಣೆ, ಸಂಯೋಜಿತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ , ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಮುಂಬೈ ಇವರ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ರಿಷಿಕೇಶ್ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದರ ಫಲವಾಗಿ 2026ರ ಜನವರಿ 08ರಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹೋದರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಡೆದ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕ್ಷಣ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಥೆಯಂತಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ಥಿರ ಹಾಗೂ ಸುಧಾರಿತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಷಿಕೇಶ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷ, ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಧನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

Snehalaya Charitable Trust Reunites Rishikesh with Family After Three-Month Disappearance
Manjeshwar, February 06, 2026: Rishikesh, a native of Gormi village, Bhind District, Madhya Pradesh, who had been missing for the last three months, was successfully reunited with his father and brother through the compassionate and dedicated efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Manjeshwar. The reunion marked an emotional and joyful moment for the family.
Rishikesh had been struggling with mental illness for the past two years, which reportedly developed due to financial difficulties. Due to lack of proper treatment and care from his family, his condition worsened. Approximately six months ago, he left his home, after which his family later traced him and brought him back from Bihar. Despite these challenges, his mental health continued to remain unstable.
On November 14, 2025 Rishikesh was rescued by the Snehalaya team from Mangalore Central Railway Station, when he was found in a vulnerable condition. He was provided with necessary medical care, psychiatric treatment, and continuous support under the supervision of the Snehalaya team. Counselling and appropriate rehabilitation measures were also undertaken to stabilize his condition.
Through consistent follow-up and coordination, Snehalaya Charitable Trust facilitated his safe reunion with his family. Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, and Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai successfully reunited Rishikesh. On January 08, 2026, Rishikesh was reunited with his father and brother in a heartfelt and emotional meeting. His family expressed deep happiness and relief upon seeing him in a stable and improved condition. The response from the family was very positive, despite their poor financial situation.
Rishikesh lives with his mother, father, and brother, who works as a driver. His successful rescue and reunion once again highlight the selfless humanitarian work of Snehalaya Charitable Trust in rescuing, treating, rehabilitating, and reuniting individuals suffering from mental illness with their families, restoring hope, dignity, and lost relationships.
