Prompt Reporting and Coordinated Rescue Efforts Ensure the Safety of a Vulnerable Man
Manjeshwar, January 28, 2026: Mr. Saran, a native of Manakkadavu, Kannur, was rescued from Thuminadu Street after being found in a vulnerable and distressed condition. He was observed exhibiting poor personal care, tremors, disorganized behaviour (TDS), and delusional thoughts, raising serious concerns about his safety and overall well-being.
The situation was promptly brought to the attention of Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya, by Mr. Bathish, an auto driver from Thuminad. Responding promptly to the alert, the Snehalaya rescue team, under the leadership of trustee Mr. Jovial Crasta, reached the location without delay. With sensitivity, compassion, and professional care, the team safely rescued Mr. Saran and ensured his immediate protection.
Following the rescue, Mr. Saran was admitted on January 25, 2026, for further care, protection, and clinical assessment. He was placed in a secure and dignified environment where his immediate needs could be addressed and appropriate support and treatment initiated in accordance with his condition.
