ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮಡಿಲಿಗೆ ಹಸೀನಾ

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ಜನವರಿ 20, 2026: “ನಾವು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡೆವು ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದೆವು… ಇಂದು ದೇವರು ಮತ್ತೆ ನಮಗೆ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ”
ಇದು ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕಂಡ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹಸೀನಾಳ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಮನದಾಳದ ಮಾತು.

ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಬಹ್ರೈಚ್ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಲ್ಹಿಪುರ (ಪೂರೆ ಬಲೆ) ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹಸೀನಾ (ನಿಜ ಹೆಸರು: ಜರೀನಾ ಬಾನೋ) ಅವರು ಸುಮಾರು ಐದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಂತರ, 2025ರ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 27ರಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರವಯುತವಾಗಿ ಮರಳಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸುಮಾರು 15 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಸೀನಾಗೆ ಈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯಮಿತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ದೊರಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕುಟುಂಬದವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಂತೆ, ಇದು ಅವರ ಮೊದಲ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗುವ ಘಟನೆ ಅಲ್ಲ. “ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೂಡ ಅವರು ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಅವರು ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಭಯ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು,” ಎಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯ ನಂತರ ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣೆಯಾದ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿತ್ತು.
2025ರ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 5ರಂದು, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಸೆಂಟ್ರಲ್ ರೈಲು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ, ಗೊಂದಲಭರಿತ ಮತ್ತು ದಿಕ್ಕುತಪ್ಪಿದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಸೀನಾರನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್, ಮಂಜೆಶ್ವರ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡವು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿತು.
“ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತಕ್ಷಣ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿತ್ತು,” ಎಂದು ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ಟಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಲಭಿಸಿದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು.
“ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವುದು ಅಂದರೆ ಒಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವಂತೆಯೇ,” ಎಂದು ಬ್ರ. ಜೋಸೆಫ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ಟಾ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ನಂತರ, ಹಸೀನಾರನ್ನು ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಮನೋ–ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ, ಔಷಧೋಪಚಾರ, ಮನೋವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರಂತರ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಬೆಂಬಲವನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಯುತ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಅವರ ಗುರುತು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬದ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದ ತಂಡವು ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಜೊತೆ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಈ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸಹಕಾರವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಫಲ ನೀಡಿತು.

2025ರ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 27ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಮಿಲನ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಸಹೋದರ ಮಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಮಗ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷ, ನಿರಾಳತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
“ಅವಳು ಜೀವಂತವಾಗಿ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಅದೇ ನಮ್ಮಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ,” ಎಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಪತಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಪತ್ನಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು, ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪುತ್ರರು ಮುಂಬೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಪುತ್ರಿಯ ವಿವಾಹವಾಗಿರುವುದು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳು ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಮಿಲನದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಬಲದಾಯಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

After Five Months Missing, Haseena Reunites with Family Through Joint Humanitarian Efforts

Manjeshwar, January 20, 2026: Mrs. Haseena, a resident of Pure Bale, Malhipur, Behraich District, Uttar Pradesh—whose real name is Jareena Bano —was successfully reunited with her relatives, including her brother-in-law and son, on December 27, 2025, after being missing for nearly five months.

Mrs. Haseena has a long-standing history of mental illness spanning approximately 15 years and had not received regular treatment during this period. According to her family, this was not the first such incident, as she had gone missing on three earlier occasions. Following her disappearance five months ago, a formal missing complaint had been lodged by the family.

On November 5, 2025, the Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Kasaragod, rescue team rescued Mrs. Haseena from Mangalore Central Railway Station , where she was found wandering in a helpless, confused, and disoriented condition, unable to care for herself. The rescue was carried out promptly based on information received by Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust.

After her rescue, Mrs. Haseena was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, where she received comprehensive care, including psychiatric evaluation, medical treatment, psychological counselling, and continuous emotional support in a safe and dignified environment. Under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta and the dedicated Snehalaya care team, her condition showed steady and positive improvement.

The process of tracing her identity and family background was undertaken through sustained and coordinated efforts by the Snehalaya team in close collaboration with Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai. This inter-organizational humanitarian coordination proved successful, ultimately leading to her safe and dignified reunion with her family on December 27, 2025.

The reunion was emotional and deeply moving, with family members expressing immense relief, gratitude, and happiness. Despite complex family circumstances—including her husband living separately with a second wife, her two sons working in Mumbai, and her daughter being married—the family response to the reunion was positive and supportive.

This successful reunion stands as a strong example of compassionate humanitarian service and inter-organizational collaboration, highlighting the committed efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Kasaragod, under the guidance of Br. Joseph Crasta, and Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai, in restoring dignity, hope, and family bonds for individuals affected by mental illness and displacement.
