Manjeshwar, December 17, 2025: Sagar, a native of Amravati, Amravati District, Maharashtra, who had been missing for nearly three years, was successfully reunited with his brother through the compassionate and sustained efforts of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Shraddha Foundation, Mumbai. The reunion marked an emotional and hopeful moment for the family and the community.

Sagar has been living with mental illness for the past ten years and had been undergoing treatment for the last three years. Following the death of his parents, he developed drug addiction, which severely affected his mental health and led to repeated episodes of wandering away from home. Prior to this prolonged disappearance, he had gone missing two to three times, during which his brother traced and brought him back from various locations across India, including Jammu & Kashmir, Jabalpur, and Rajasthan. Despite his nearly three-year absence on this occasion, no missing person complaint had been filed.

On July 19, 2025, Sagar was found in a vulnerable condition near a bakery at Padavinangady, Mangaluru. He was rescued by Mr. Prakash Pinto and Mr. Prashanth, Trustee of Snehalaya, and was immediately brought under the care of Snehalaya Charitable Trust. He received appropriate psychiatric treatment, continuous care, and psychosocial support. Medicines were prescribed for a period of two months, and counselling related to his mental illness was also provided as part of his rehabilitation.

Through consistent follow-up and dedicated efforts, the Snehalaya team was able to establish contact with his family. On October 01, 2025 , Sagar was reunited with his brother in a deeply emotional reunion. The family expressed immense relief and gratitude, while the response from villagers and neighbours was also very supportive and encouraging.

This successful rescue and reunion once again highlights the unwavering humanitarian mission of Snehalaya Charitable Trust and Shraddha Foundation in rescuing, treating, rehabilitating, and reuniting persons with mental illness, thereby restoring dignity, hope, and lost family bonds.

ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 17, 2025: ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಅಮರಾವತಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ, ಅಮರಾವತಿಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಸಾಗರ್ ಅವರು ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಅವರ ನಿರಂತರ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ

ಮುಂಬೈನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಸಹಕಾರದ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡರು. ಈ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಆಶಾಭರಿತ ಕ್ಷಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಸಾಗರ್ ಅವರು ಕಳೆದ ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಕಳೆದ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಪೋಷಕರ ನಿಧನದ ನಂತರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾದಕವಸ್ತುಗಳ ವ್ಯಸನ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದು ಅವರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಹಾನಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲು ಕೂಡ ಅವರು ಎರಡು–ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರರು ಜಮ್ಮು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರ, ಜಬಲ್ಪುರ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಭಾರತದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ನಾಪತ್ತೆ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಜುಲೈ 19, 2025ರಂದು, ಸಾಗರ್ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ಪಡವಿನಂಗಡಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಒಂದು ಬೇಕರಿಯ ಸಮೀಪ ಅತೀ ಅಸಹಾಯಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದರು. ಅವರನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಿಂಟೊ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ಅವರನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಅವರ ಆರೈಕೆಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಮನೋವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ನಿರಂತರ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಔಷಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿಯ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ನಿರಂತರ ಅನುಸರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮರ್ಪಿತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ತಂಡವು ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 01, 2025ರಂದು ಸಾಗರ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾವುಕ ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನಗೊಂಡರು. ಕುಟುಂಬವು ಅಪಾರ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರಿಂದಲೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತೇಜನಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನರ್ಮಿಲನವು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುವವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮರುಸೇರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗೌರವ, ಆಶೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಚಾರಿಟೇಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಅವರ ಅಚಲ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸೇವಾ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
