Mangaluru, December 10, 2025: A 45-year-old woman identified as Shalini was rescued by the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre team from Mangaluru Central Railway Station after she was found wandering alone in a helpless and disoriented condition.
According to the information shared with Br. Joseph Crasta, Founder of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Shalini was found with poor personal hygiene and was communicating in Hindi. Initial assessments suggest that she is experiencing psychiatric symptoms and required immediate care and protection. Acting swiftly, the Snehalaya rescue team ensured her safe rescue.
Shalini was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Home for Women on September 20, 2025, where she is currently receiving medical care, psychological support, and rehabilitation services. Efforts are ongoing to trace her identity and locate her family to facilitate a safe reunion.
