Manjeshwar, December 26, 2025: Mr. Deepak Kumar Patil, who was found wandering in the Kiruvathi forest area of Yellapur in Uttara Kannada district, has been admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre.
On 24-11-2025, while returning to Mangalore after handing over patients to Shraddha Foundation in Mumbai, the Snehalaya team led by Mr. Geo D’Silva Agrar noticed Deepak Kumar in an unsafe and weak condition. They immediately rescued him and brought him safely to Snehalaya. During the initial assessment, symptoms such as wandering behaviour, self-talking, aggression, and restlessness indicated a severe mental health condition. He is currently under the supervision of the medical and psychiatric team of Snehalaya, guided by its founder, Br. Joseph Crasta.
