Manjeshwar, November 28, 2025: On Wednesday, Snehalaya once again proved its unwavering commitment to humanitarian service by providing timely care to a helpless individual found wandering along the roadside in Badiyadka.
The patient has been identified as Mr. Sundara , and he was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre on November 26, 2025. He was found in an extremely vulnerable condition in the Badiyadka area, and upon noticing his situation, members of the Youth Club Library, Mahesh Kumar, and the Reading Room team immediately responded, rescued him, and safely brought him to Snehalaya.
Upon admission, the team led by Br. Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, assessed his health condition and provided the required medical treatment, psychiatric evaluation, and appropriate care. The medical staff is currently closely monitoring his mental and physical condition, and he is being kept in the safe environment of the centre.
This compassionate act by alert citizens highlights the importance of public awareness and collective responsibility in safeguarding individuals facing mental health challenges.
