Manjeshwar, November 19, 2025: A man identified as Palthad Sheik Hameed was found wandering in a mentally disturbed and neglected condition near Badiyadka Bus Stand, Kasaragod, and was safely rescued on Thursday with the support of SI Avinash of Badiyadka Police Station. The police, noticing his distressed state, immediately arranged for his safe transfer to Snehalaya.
According to the information received, Palthad was exhibiting psychiatric issues, wandering behaviour, poor hygiene, irritability, and signs of alcohol addiction, indicating the need for urgent medical attention and care. Acting promptly, the authorities coordinated with the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, to ensure his safe rescue and rehabilitation.
Palthad was admitted on 13/11/2025 to Snehalaya, where he is currently undergoing psychiatric evaluation, medical care, and rehabilitative support.
The Snehalaya team is now working to gather more details about his background and trace his family members to facilitate a possible reunion.

ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರ, ನವೆಂಬರ್ 19, 2025: ಬದಿಯಡ್ಕ, ಕಾಸರಗೋಡು ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ಥಿರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪಲ್ತಾಡ್ ಶೇಕ್ ಹಮೀದ್ ಎಂಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಬದಿಯಡ್ಕ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಉಪನಿರೀಕ್ಷಕ ಅವಿನಾಶ್ ಅವರ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಗುರುವಾರ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಆತನ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ತ್ವರಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯತತ್ಪರತೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ7 ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಪತ್ತೆಯಾದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಲ್ತಾಡ್ ಅವರು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಅಸ್ಥಿರತೆ, ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ವರ್ತನೆ, ಶಾರೀರಿಕ ನೈರ್ಮಲ್ಯದ ಕೊರತೆ, ಆತಂಕ, ಕಿರಿಕಿರಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಮದ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತಿಯ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ತುರ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಹಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಆರೈಕೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಮಂಜೇಶ್ವರದ ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯ ಸೈಕೋ-ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ 13/11/2025 ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದರು,
