Manjeshwar, November 2, 2025: Brother Joseph Crasta, the founder of Snehalaya, along with his dedicated team, rescued a man named Mr. Lokindara near the Bekur bus stand after receiving information from a local resident, Mr. Keshav Kulal.

During the rescue, the team observed that Mr. Lokindara was suffering from mental illness he spoke very little, appeared depressed, and was wandering aimlessly. Recognizing his serious mental condition, the Snehalaya team immediately took necessary action and admitted him to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre in Manjeshwar.

Medical examinations later confirmed that Mr. Lokindara is suffering from severe mental stress. His family background and place of origin are still unknown.

Snehalaya continues its compassionate mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing shelter to individuals who are mentally ill, homeless, or abandoned. The organization has requested the public to inform Snehalaya if they come across anyone in distress.
