Manjeshwar, October 30, 2025: A woman identified as Mrs. Sundari Mandu was rescued by the Snehalaya team from Mangalore Central Railway Station on October 27, 2025. The rescue operation was carried out after she was found in a distressed and disoriented condition, appearing to suffer from mental health challenges.
According to Snehalaya staff, Mrs. Sundari seemed confused and was wandering aimlessly on the station premises. Observing her condition, concerned bystanders informed the authorities, following which the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Team, led by Br. Joseph Crasta, swiftly intervened and brought her to safety.
After the rescue, Mrs. Sundari was admitted to the Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre, Manjeshwar, for medical evaluation, care, and psychiatric treatment. The team is now working to trace her background and reach out to her family members to facilitate a possible reunion.
